Why? Have you no sense of preserving historic buildings that serve a purpose in our community?

There was a proposal to build a tower in their beer garden. Calm down :)

There is only the top level left for windows to be fitted plus some other areas where hoists and other equipment was located as at 15 Jan.

The cladding on this is a let down. The rendered finished looked way better.

Kind of agree. I was hoping that the finish would blossom into something like the renders on page 35 as the project developed. But it's not looking like it. It's a personal taste thing but personally if I'd bought off the plan based on those renders I'd be asking the developer why the finished product has morphed into a brown office-like building rather the extraordinary gleaming property I'd put my money into. That said, the Adelaide skyline is enhanced big time, and am keenly looking forward to the street frontage being opened.

That mesh cladding does a terrible job at hiding those A/C units....

Doesn't look to flattering from that angle, especially with the a/c units being so visible.

As for the render, it does seem a way off, although i it wasn't really going to look like the render anyway. The render seems to have had a lot of work and photoshopping done to it to give it a 'mood'.

It's probably a bit too brown in my opinion and it seems everyone else thinks the same thing.

I love it. I love brown. But then I spent most of my early teens lusting after this:

Mmmm, brown. You can never have too much brown.

I'm waiting to see how this will look at night with the lights shining through the brown glass.

I like it. I think it works well against surrounding developments too.

Wow, great find. They have the best perspective on the growing southern CBD of any vantage point I've seen yet - really shows it all without anything in the way.

Wow, what a difference an hour or so can make, crawf. Great photo. I took this one in Hurtle Square on a walk after the storm in an attempt to dry off after getting absolutely drenched. The sun was out and it had dried so much that it was almost as if it had never rained. Can't say I'm a super huge fan of the brown sadly, so this one isn't turning out as quite the standout I thought it would.
