A YEAR from now, the $200 million South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute will be complete and these futuristic scenes will become reality.
Cranes tower over the nine-storey building currently under construction on North Tce, which will "translate science into health".
Executive director Professor Steve Wesselingh says the facility will be a "truly iconic and inspiring work place for our most creative health and medical researchers".
"Every day the skyline on North Terrace changes as incredible progress is made on the site of our state-of-the-art, purpose-built 25,000 square-metre facility, adjacent to the new Royal Adelaide Hospital site," he said.
