Starbucks coffee has just opened it's first South Australian store in all places, Centro Colonnades. It's part of the first stage of the $100m development of the centre which will make the complex on par with Westfield Marion in terms of size.

All those teenage mothers will have a nice place to get their "cup of chinow" now!

Starbucks already has plans to open a few new stores in the CBD over the next few months. Was in the paper some days ago.

Starbucks sucks. Had them interstate and overseas and I thought it was quite ordinary. I thought another international franchise "The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf" was going to open at City Cross but I think that's fallen though. That sucked too.

I wondered what happened to that place on the corner in City Cross. It's been 'coming soon' for ages. IIRC it's going to be a donut place now.

Never tried Starbucks. Coffee is coffee. The best place I've found is 'Rush' on James Place, but they're a bit out of my way these days.

Looks like Hungry George has had his fill too. I saw a sign up today saying some new shop is opening in it's place. I think their owners, Golden Chef, who are in deep poop at the mo want to get rid of 'non core' operations.

Another international first here, South Africa's King Pies 'has relocated' from City Cross too. Don't know where though.... possibly back to South Africa.

I reckon Hudsons is pretty good for caffeine.

I'm actually kinda suprised that there's still some very prime locations in City Cross that are still empty.

I've had GJ's for nearly every day this year.. that's because we chip in for bags of that stuff at work. I'm sort of sick of it right now... i'll normally hit up Illy or Cibo for some decent coffee.
