Cheers for the pics.

The new Hype store looks good. Great spot for it.

Another good spot would have been the soon to be Chemist Warehouse store

The massive shoe shed tenancy in the myer centre has closed up. jrs and Origani have also closed.

They really need to attract a tenant like Zara to bring foot traffic.

They won't do it... Zara of any size would directly compete with Myer.

Imagine how many vacant lots are in the Food Court as of today?
Looks like the Myer Centre could be winding up in a few months.

Oscar Wylee is fit out next to Bailey Nelson and I would expect ready to open within a week or so.

A few doors up, the old Supre building is being refurbished (offices upstairs, no clue on shop front tenant).

Excitingly, the heritage Kintore Terrace on Hindley Street is being wholly restored (streetview -- roughly between Macca's and Yianni's, opposite the old Liberty station). Previously known as Princes Terrace or Canadian Lodge, it's long been run down and (standardly) whitewashed by Polites. In fact, the level of intention going into the restoration makes me think it mustn't be owned by Polites anymore... I can't recall any of his buildings being managed so lovingly. Probably part-funded by the Council's façade scheme. Anyway, didn't have time snap a proper shot, but found a photo from its heyday:

Will endeavour to get a proper snap this weekend.

EDIT:
Here's from across the street:

That's amazing - I used to cycle past that building every day and think what good potential it had. Really excited to see it being restored πŸ˜€

Relocating, or opening up a new store at TTP while keeping the current CBD store?

The old Regent Arcade Theatre/Globalise space is under contract. Wonder whether retail or some other commercial use?
