yeah, the flagpoles look great. Im a bit dazzled - The ACC got quite a bit of negative publicity last week as to why it has taken so long, and I dont know if its any cooincidence, but the last 7 days has seen more project work done than the whole last 7 months.

I'd like to think and hope that this upgrade has been done with a possible future tram extension in mind.

I don't think they have, otherwise why would they reinstate the flagpoles? They took them down for KWS. This seems to be another one of those projects that have been delivered on its on merits and not tied in conjunction with any others. This is a serious problem for planning in Adelaide.

By the time they decide to do it, it will probably be a while... so might aswell just put the flagpoles in for now.

They only reason why it seems like a big deal to rip it all back up, is because they took like 4 or 5 months or so getting rid of the old median strip, replacing it, and putting in flag poles. (which anywhere else woul'dve taken 1 month, possibly less).
