For that amount of money surely the design would have to look half decent.
Anyway. one of the most important things which I think will enhance the look of the area is the relocation of these ugly, oversized gum trees. They seriously do no good in removing the 'country' town stigma from our city
, especially in such a prominent, postcard position.
I hate that they destroy any illusion of scale; they are almost towering over the festival centre and block it from the river view.
You would think such a high profile redevelopment would include strict and well thought out landscaping to ensure that the area looks its best when complete. Could you imagine some oversized gums on Crown Promenade or anywhere along Southbank?! ADELAIDE ACROSS THE RIVER
