Had a look at this yesterday on my tour of inspection of development sites in the CBD. Much impressed here. Is there another development going to occur opposite? Franklin St going through some big changes.
I cant' get over the development in the current economic environment!
This building and CC8 have added great density to vic square and Franklin st. The structure has gone up so fast . I can appreciate steel frame construction is more expensive than reinforced concrete but does that expense out way trades/cranes/equipment hire and other project or schedule rated cost as slab construction takes longer? Must be other factors why steel isn't used more often?
Again i think the proportions are wrong. Aswell, it seems like too much going on in terms of the Apartment side of the development. Office tower works fine!
