Trust me, the parking are for the resident (all if not mainly).
If you don't believe me, go to talk to the sales agent about the commercial space, ask if he will allocate any car park to you if you want to buy the commercial space, I bet at most you will only get 2 spaces.

Apparently the next stage of the demolition of the existing underground carpark is about the commence and is due to be complete before the end of the year.

Just looked at their website... slightly disconcerting text there about Adelaide...

"88 Constructions will shortly commence the construction of one of the few tall buildings in the Adelaide city centre. The building is a mixed use 18 storey development consisting of 169 residential apartments, 1retail, 1 commercial tenancy and 3 level car-park. The building will take 70 weeks to complete and will display a variety of facades including glass, composite panels, and face brick work."

Say what you will but even by 'Adelaide city centre' standards, 18 storey is surprisingly common... that little snark aside, glad to see this is moving ahead. I think once this and hopefully Palladium get done, there will be quite a nice core city feel around the Light Square area.

Looks like the chinese owner of the developer has stepped in.

Great for SA to have the work. Not sure how great for our apartment market.

The old underground carpark has now been removed and today they started filling in to bring it back up to ground level.

There was a constant stream of large trucks bringing in dirt, and it looks like many more will be needed.

'88 Construction' signage now all over the fencing of this site. Piling was also underway this morning. With the commencement of piling work, does this constitute this project as being 'under construction'?

Piling has now finished and they are starting foundations this week.
