Didn't really have the time or interest to try and photoshop in the building itself but the loose landscape of the 10 second mark of the video is attached.
I think the building will definitely stick out but not in a bad way. I quite like the design and the potential look, myself.

The state government DAC will hold a meeting on December 15.
The DAC is expected to concur with the ACC DAP and grant planning APPROVAL to this development.

Yay! At a guess, I think the council would be wanting glass doors that open onto Currie St. instead of windows, and that's not a bad addition at all.

going off the Advertiser it appears to have council support apart from one of the irrelvant councillours complaining about height.
But heck if Councilor Moran is behind it then it must be a half decent development

22-storey Adelaide hotel plan tests development laws Daniel Wills From: The Advertiser December 08, 2010 9:36PM
ADELAIDE City Council development experts have recommended approval of a 22-storey Currie St tower which would become one of Adelaide's tallest buildings.
The council's new Development Assessment Panel was handed a report last night by independent planning staff advising the hotel and commercial development be given the green light.
Standing 82m, the building would become the seventh tallest in Adelaide.
The $52 million proposal is the first major test for the council's new DAP, which met last night for the first time since last month's election which installed development advocate Stephen Yarwood as Lord Mayor.
Because the proposed tower is valued at more than $10 million, the DAP only has power to advise the state Development Assessment Commission on the project's approval or rejection.
Sandy Wilkinson was against the proposal because of a 29m over-height discrepancy, while Ann Moran said the panel was not anti-height and the proposal had bigger issues of energy efficiency and street frontage.
"If we can't put up a building in the middle of the city then where can we?" Ms Moran said.
The council voted to support the plans, with amendments to height, detailed waste management plan, and demonstration of energy efficiency.

SANDY WILKINSON!!! wasn't he the fellow that designed a long sheep shearing shed as an alternative to Markris' Le Cornu development?
Should be dropped for poor performance!!

Sandy Wilkinson needs to go.
I can't believe I'm about to say this but Anne Moran raises a good point

Conveniently short memory - used effectively in politics I believe. Nothing about consistency - far be it that this should occur!

Anne Moran is starting to get onto my goodside. First with the comment about tiny apartments, and now this? Soon enough she'll have an S-A account

1) Different height zones.
2) They support this one too. Wilkinson was the sole, pathetic dissenter.

At least 20m too high for that zone, I believe (shared with Westpac).
