Like! Like! Like!

It's in a bit of a squishy spot, but nevertheless a good proposal to look forward to! Can't wait for renders.

This is the company that has lodged the application:

http://www.toga.com.au/

Looks like it will be hotel / apartments.

Wowers, this could be the new Savings and Loans Credit Union tower? Or at least part of it!
Walking on over....

It may be an expansion of Medina Grand which Toga operates and describes as a 'jewel' in its crown.

This is the one I was referring to in the general CBD development thread - it's already been several years in planning and design and from what I'm hearing these guys are serious - it's not going to be another SPIRE! In this location it will be very conspicuous from Vic Square so I really hope it looks good

Hate to throw a spanner into the works but isn't the Pilgrim Centre State Heritage listed?

Just taking a stab here but i would assume the church is but not the building behind it.

The Pilgrim Centre is the crappy building behind and to the east of the Pilgrim Church. Pretty certain it's not heritage listed, else if it is this most certainly would have been taken into account early in the piece

Wow, two great things in less than 48 hours! This would be pretty prominant in that location wouldn't it?

There'll be nothing blocking the view from Victoria Square. It'll stick out like the proverbial.

i see no reason why this wouldn't be approved apart from the obvious
- It's among highrise buildings
- It's in the "pyramid style" CBD layout (which I don't agree with)
- It's in an area that would be considered "shadowed" by Westpac house

All I hope is:
- That it is set back from the street frontage like Westpac house. It'll make that block look super dense
- It's a sexy beast.
Don't burn the Adelaide Parkland (preservation society)
