The grey vertical lines are finished now, but there's still a lot of odds and ends that need to be tied up on the facade. The new cladding of the lines really highlights the age of the original cladding of the car park. The top level of the car park and the bottom level of the north apartment tower need a bit of work. I hope they don't leave it as is, because that section ruins the whole facade. The ground floor on needs a bit of work too for it to be as shiny and new as the apartments.

^^ Agree completely. The North Western corner would have to be the worst part of this building. The slab for the apartments has just been painted and does not fit in well with the rest of this rather slick looking building. Just cheapens the whole effect really.

Has anyone notice that they've left the sides of the transfer slab exposed and simply painted it brown so it matches the old facade? It's fricking disgusting! Please oh please don't leave it like that

It was always going to be an architectural nightmare trying to mesh a brand new modern design on top of an old dated 1960s design without updating the facade of the old part. Those grey stripes hanging down from the new section and the brown really don't go together well at all.

Drop barriers were all removed last weekend and this morning there was work being undertaken to finally finish the bottom section of this building off. talk about taking their time! Amazing how removing the drop barrier has changed the scale of this building. Looks a lot bigger now.

That part of North Terrace also looks a lot brighter than it did for the few years it was covered up. It looks better without the barriers.
