Thanks AtD. Didn't realise my scan was so contrasty. Anyway, you can now see whatever was missing. That bit at the front facing King William Street with the sparkle would have to be all glass. Maybe with a light greenish tint? Interesting to see the colour rendering when posted.

Cheers

Over all the new design still looks good. But I agree with the sentments of many of you guys - only top architecture to match a top city! (and this comes from someone who has lived in and seen a good number of other cities).

Is the narrow side of the building facing KWS? If so I wonder what the southern side presents - hopefully not a bland wall. Whatever way it is, southern KWS will start to look like a classy city boulevard St.

After watching the development of Adelaide very closely for some time and coupling this with Howard's recent statements on nucleay power stations with the huge mineral developments and finds in SA, I can only say you guys are in the place to be! (makes me envious).High rise must follow!

Looking as though this one may be dead and buried as the property is up for sale as is (very ordinary!) according to the bill board now located at the front. Obviously no takers for accomodation in that part of town.

Will be interesting to see what happens with other proposals in that similar precinct.

So a tram line extension isn't a catalyst for development, so what is?

Yeah drove past and saw that the other day. Ho, I dont think the tram extension makes any difference whatsoever for proposals in this area of city. Funny, despite the fact that there is such a demand for office space, no one wants to be even a few hundred meters from the centre of the business district. If this one failed, I dont really see how any of the other three or four proposed projects are gonna get up...

Someone here used the tram extension as one reason for the developments down that part of the city. Pity this dev may not go ahead. I also have the same sentiments Snorkie.

Cheers

Yes.

However I find the actions of the developers really bizarre. They really didn't give this project a chance to succeed.

I thought this project could be doomed

Hopefully most of the other KWS developments get built.

There at least three other building developments on King William St (including the 92m office tower)

Seems this is not officially dead. My work is currently looking for "A" grade office accomodation (Impossible to find at moment) and Colliers have it advertised as eithier a sale or lease. But only 8 levels now.

The building shown in the Colliers website, is the original proposal, which had 8 levels of office, and 4 of apartments.

It appears that the developers have pulled out of the project, but the 'project' as such is for sale. So yes, maybe this one will still become reality.
