Drove past last night, and the site has been sold. I hope the new owners decide to keep the high rise proposal and decide not to renovate the old Caledonian Club.

May be underway sooner rather than later. New builders signage on site.

That could mean up to 7 cranes up in the southern end of KWS within 6 months!

Really? Anymore details, eg the builders pikey? If this one starts up too, the amount of development in that area would be crazy next year.

I'm getting confused with all the King William St developments. I can find out info on this building so see what I can do. This hasn't gone to the market or been approved as yet.

Developers are The Colangelo Group.
Architects are David Dawson.

As far as I can gather, there's this, Edge & Wave, 400KWS, the one next to Optus, and the one behind the pub. So I figure a crane for 379, Edge, Wave, 2 for 400KWS and one each for the last two. 7 cranes relatively soon is a huge possibility!

What's the "one behind the pub"?

My list has 379, 400, Edge, Wave and 429.

All this should be a strong catalyst for more of the same. Like stepping over a treshold once too hard to do. Business and people attract more of the same. :D :D :D Watch the area closely guys.

Looks like the 'greater city skyline' of my signature is actually happening. :D :D :D :D

Interesting to note this one still hasn't received approval and there has been request after request for additional information... wonder what the hold up is. I know the developers and they are blaming the council. Considing the app was sent to council in October 2007 you would think it could have been sent to the DAP within 8 months.

You don't have a signature skyliner. Just this text you seem to manually add to all your posts... ;)

This one's still in the works.
The DA confirms latest activity.
PLANNING - FURTHER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 20/05/2008 18/06/2008
INTERNAL REFERRAL TO SUSTAINABILITY TEAM 8/05/2008 18/06/2008
INTERNAL REFERRAL TO INFRASTRUCTURE 8/05/2008 18/06/2008
ISSUE DECISION
I assume the status quo 'ISSUE DECISION', means the proposal has been oversought and is to be put forth to the DAP soon.

Issue Decision is blank on all applications until it has been to the DAP so it doesn't mean anything in regards to timing of the DAP. I know the developers though and they are having some issues with the council. They want to go higher then the 40m height limit which is why this is taking so long. They said they may just have to bite the bullet and build at 40m or just below.

Hills House and 400KWS have both set a precedent already, so why can't developers use this motion in courts?
