I love this building site! They are installing the steelwork for the lift well and also a dozen or so steel reinforced columns are already in at above street level. The concrete was poured last weekend and there is no messing around on this building. I would expect the crane to be installed this coming weekend or next.

No tower crane as yet but a lot of progress over the last week since the big concrete pour with steel starting to appear above the fence. Pic from this afternoon:

riding around the other day, ive found a spot to take shots of, where they havent put any cladding on the fence. if you go around to Waymouth St and up that laneway near the garage, they have a left a meter wide walkway, where there is just a wire fence so so can see everything in the site. having said that i should get some pics i spose

Correct. With a foundation pour of over 4000m.Professor wrote:The developers say they are starting to build in April.

That will be some raft foundation. How big was the State Bank pour?
I remember that day, the State Bank foundation pour was going on for hours and then a real storm / high winds hit Adelaide in the mid afternoon but they could not stop the work.
PS Who is the builder for the Altitude?

I am led to believe that Multiplex is one of the contractors for the project.Professor wrote:That will be some raft foundation. How big was the State Bank pour?

Urban Construct is not a construction company. They are the developer behind the project.Brando wrote:Yes, along with Urban Construct.AG wrote:I am led to believe that Multiplex is one of the contractors for the project.Professor wrote:That will be some raft foundation. Hey team, my first post...
Back on topic... Just had cause to drive past this site (literally 30 minutes ago) and I thought y'all might like to know that there was some serious concrete being poured. Tonnes of workers around, Morphett St traffic down to one lane, etc, etc.
That's all for now. Looking forward to joining the healthy and intelligent debate I've witnessed since discovering this forum about a month ago.

It's = it is; its = everything else.
You're = you are; your = belongs to.
Than = comparative ("bigger than"); then = next.

On way back home. Looking forward to the crane this weekend and also the progress on this site.
The way baulderstone are working on the building it will be a really fast project, with very efficient site operations, lots of staff on site and setting the pace in Adelaide's construction management at the moment

I wonder if the crane will still go up this weekend, considering the weather predicted, and the fact it's a long weekend?
