Thought the picture was a render for a second

Browser translated the website itself. Horrible english, but not too hard to understand.
Waymouth St may be “born” a 34-story building (128 metres), this building than just Adelaide tallest building (Westpac House) short four metres, and nearly half the height of the entire building will be constructed perpendicular “Hanging Gardens.”

This is one and office and residential in an integrated, intends to spend $1.4 one hundred million construction, location, adjacent to the former Queen’s Theatre and Uno Apartments, is being used as a 24-hour parking.2012 year developers Datong purchased here from City Hall in the hands of real estate, on condition that in 2014 was planned before the beginning of the construction project.

According to the architects and JPE Design Studio director Adrian Evans said one of the program are: the west side of the building construction of a stack of a series of four-storey “cut-outs.”

Each “cut-outs” are left out a garden; height should be enough to see the surrounding lush greenery.

Arrogant Street or Light Square looked; the effect of rendering the entire building would be similar to a high 14 storey vertical "sky gardens."

Besides this building 34 -storey building also includes some two-storey loft apartment, house with rooftop pool, communal roof garden and some parking spaces.

Evans said: "The construction of a specific project plan also includes Waymouth St and Playhouse Lane created between a roadway, may also have a bar space."

"Our company will definitely add a little horsepower, race against time to finalize the design scheme as soon as possible, so that you can in the next month to submit it to the development of evaluation committee, the Committee may also wish to use the shortest possible time to agree to our proposal."

I'd quite like to see more developments overlooking Arrogant Street.

Hey guys, sorry to bump old posts but in this article, there was an expectation for construction to start right now. Just wondering if they even submitted a proposal to the DAC? Or was it just a media beat up of a "vision".

Its currently in the pre-lodgement process. Also it should be 116 Waymouth Street, not 114.

It appears to show the location of this propsoed tower. It suggests that there may have been a design competition regarding this proposal, considering JPE appears to be the architects now.

Not a fan of that podium, it doesn't connect well with the tower itself.

A bit of contrast. The podium connects with the old Queen's Theatre next door. Hope JPE can match or better this, but I doubt it. Loucas Zahos seem to produce much better designs. As for planting trees and shrubs on highrises, they do not work. Plant them on the ground and give them plenty of open space where they can be properly watered.

This is the type of buildings we should be getting in Adelaide, sleek and glassy. Less is more.

The day something like that gets proposed in Adelaide, is the day the NIMBY movement's heads collectively explode simultaneously.

I'd be super happy to have that as our tallest building.

One day...

Doesn't look like it will be the second tallest anymore but it could be to do with the perspective as the model looks almost double as high as UNO:

I wouldn't discount the 2nd tallest tag just yet. Judging by those renders it still appears around the 30 level mark, whereas the model appears to be double the height of the neighbouring UNO apartments which is 53m.

Am I missing something? I only count about 16 levels (although that's impossible if the building is 128m). Are there two levels between each of those white lines?

Still, it looks like a pretty good design (not as good as Vue or Currie Rosina though). But all it has to be is twice as tall as the UNO apartments (if this building even ever happens) to be our second tallest (discounting Currie/Rosina, if it happens). But it still does obviously look shorter than the alleged 128m.
