In answer to your question Hi-Touch, no the development is an 'island' site, i.e. is bounded by streets on all four sides, so does not include the site for sale to its east.

I guess that entitles him to be sceptical of every other project but it sure makes him a long way from an expert in picking a good project and understanding the fundamentals in getting a project from proposed to reality.

Obviously you are an expert, so I look forward to reading your insightful comments on Adelaide developments in the future.

Surely i would have expected that whoever is providing finance eg bank, building society, superannuation fund etc would ensure that the builder/developer has paid some level of insurance prior to proceeding to ensure that the building is built/finished/handed over even in the event the builder goes broke

Red bricks are always recycled. Demolition contractors are recyclers, even if not in name. The price they charge for demolition factors in the value and resale of the building materials they're getting out of it. If a demolition contractor weren't reselling red bricks then they wouldn't be in business long.
