I'm a little confused. In the plans it mentions that the footbridge / walkway would become a tunnel through to the Railway Station. It looks to be ground level?

The 'roof' of said tunnel hasn't been built yet.

Re the northern entrance to the station....what are the plans for this in the overall scheme - surely opening through/under/around the casino to the bridge would be ideal.
Jack.

Festival Drive has been relocated to pass under the footpath from the northern entrance of the station to the Riverbank Footbridge. The casino will be built over the new footpath, creating a tunnel.

My understanding was that the ‘tunnel’ would pass under the casino extension?[Shuz] wrote:I'm a little confused. In the plans it mentions that the footbridge / walkway would become a tunnel through to the Railway Station. It looks to be ground level?

I took this last week from KWS St of the new wall in front of the Festival Theatre that has been built to hide some air conditioning units. Originally I had thought it was a plain black wall but it clearly contains screens that were being tested

Temporary or permanent?

Permanent - there was a planning application with renders, etc, for this.[Shuz] wrote:Temporary or permanent?

As you can probably agree, pictures don't do this justice, it looks great in person. If this is the direction of the newer design elements to the Festival Centre then I am very pleased.Uncle Monty wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2017 7:14 amI took this last week from KWS St of the new wall in front of the Festival Theatre that has been built to hide some air conditioning units. Drove past tonight. Looks like they have installed neon lighting along the margins of the roof line of the festival theatre. Looks good!

A year on and the Adelaide Festival Plaza redevelopment is on track. An exciting milestone in the redevelopment was reached during the Ashes when the northern doors in the Adelaide Railway Station temporarily opened giving you better access to the Adelaide Riverbank and venues such as Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Convention Centre and Adelaide Festival Centre.

Hate to say it but the inside looks the same to me. The pergola/balcony and outside LEDs/screens look good. So my question is, how many millions did this all cost?
