Park Land frontages are ideal for apartments - fantastic outlook, 'free garden' on the doorstep for exercise, fresh air etc, increased pedestrianization, cycling and day/night population adding to increased use and amenities (and safety) in the park land belt and surrounds.

I would love to see more medium rise residential also in the mix for the park land frontages on Greenhill Road, Fullarton Road/Dequettville Tce for the above reasons. Currently, there are many commercial buildings up for lease (depressing) and wasted single /double level use of valuable sites, plus these areas are relative deserts at night and on weekends.

getting the road out of view would also be a nice start....

Site works have not actually started yet although there were some surveyor types on site last week. The signage states starting September so that is hopeful. Sorry about the picture taken looking into sun.

The demolition of the rear of the adjoining terrace home had to be done in order for this development to commence (I believe from what I heard that this is where the crane will be located).

Some workers were at the rear of the 2 story house next door with a mini excavator this morning.

Pikey is correct construction has stated. I took this picture today 5 pm on my way home. there is an excavator and a bobcat ( small tractor) on site. They said construction would start in September.

The has been dug down just a bit to get rid of the grass and tree roots and was being levelled and compacted with a roller this morning (3 Oct 2015). Sorry no picture.

Also, what looks like the beginning of the crane foundations have commenced on the North/east corner of the site.

Piling has been completed and now the footings are being formed up. please excuse the rough edge in one picture , it is due to the shade cloth on the southern fence.
the lift/services core is roughly in the centre of the site.

The southern 1/2 of the site is ready for pouring the concrete for the footings for the ground floor. note the house next door (on South Tce) seems to have lost its roof.
I thought it was been renovated but it is in a very bad state?
