Driving past the site I noticed a climbing system has been installed to install the facade on the exposed core.

This could turn out quite well, despite my early reservations.
Walking on over....

There's a metal frame being assembled at the top of the last floor poured. I assume its near topping out?

It's for the roof level. The lift over run and plant room are all hidden by it. The topping out ceremony is usually for the last concrete pour.

Not the greatest shot, but it shows the impact this building will make at night from Victoria Square.

So eating my words. That shot really makes this look great.again it could have been more design wise but I like it. Glazing and finishing quality is everything.

"Street artist Matt Fortrose’s next wall is on the $250 million GPO Exchange"

"Matt Fortrose has been chosen to tell the story of the 19th-century Overland Telegraph Line in a mural on the new GPO Exchange office tower development."

The developers behind this seem to have thought of everything!

It would look better, as a box, if instead of the facade being flat, each window section 'popped out' and there was an indent/groove between each with some LED lighting in between as well.

Oh there could be a lot done to improve the design, but as it stands it isn’t a pile of dog shit.
The matte finish contrasting against the highly reflective glass helps lift the look.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before-it looks like a squat Grenfel Centre which shows how simple elegance is timeless- cant believe the Grenfel centre is going on for 50 years old. Like the Grenfel Centre however, it could have been taller and more set back so as not to crowd out the heritage façade of the Post Office.-Thanks for the photos y'all.
