4/12/2018 workers are digging a basement from the crane base to the back of the existing theatre. (Picture courtesy of a worker.)

I doubt there would be the demand for another venue
larger than what is currently planned for this expansion.

The side street (Pitt st)was closed off today, Saturday 6/4/2019, while some more steel work was being unloaded. May be able to get a picture tomorrow.

Some steel columns can be seen near the Grote St end and some more roof trusses. The only place to get a good view is from the Pit St car park roof. Click on picture for bigger.
