If this gets approved then the DAC need to pull back. Not everything needs to be approved anymore, the momentum has changed now so start demanding better from developers.

I quite liked the picture, but thought it is in a strange place. I have just spent a week in Box Hill near Melbourne, staying in a serviced apartment building rather similar to this, on a dead-end sidestreet parallel to the main road, with no on-site staff overnight. It worked surprisingly well. It was a couple hundred metres walk to a tram stop and another couple hundred through a main street with food outlets to a train station.

I'm very familiar with that part of Boxhill. :)

Tenders for this in today's paper. I'm very surprised given the location. They must have an operator.

There seems to be some action with this one, it's easily missed given its position.

Over the last few months there seems to have been quite a bit of utilities upgrades in Toms Court and the intersection with Halifax St. Then just recently a section of the Halifax St median strip has been removed for what looks like truck access into Toms Court.

I also think the existing building on the site has now been demolished (or is in the process of being so).

Next time I walk by I'll try not to be lazy and actually walk down Toms Crt for a proper look.

Some pictures of Tom's court. demolition is nearly complete and also the area in Halifax St where the traffic island has been removed as mentioned by Cream (above) . Click on pictures for bigger. Note I was not on site in the first picture I just held my phone close up to the fence.

Does anyone know whats going on here. They have started piling in the middle of the road which is not part of the plans submitted. Also the core is being formed.

I too saw this construction on the road . The only thing I can think of is it may be the site of a crane base?
