That is definitely new signage. Encouraging news!

Can't say I'm rooting for this one to go up.

Any word on whether the proposed changes were let through?

I didn’t think I’d ever see the day I’d lament a 100m + building go up in Adelaide!

Trying to stay optimistic. Really wish it was the Twin St one though.

People are just setting the bar low and hoping to be surprised in the opposite direction for a change, rather than next door's glossy render that turned out being the hottest thing out of 1960s Bucharest

Agreed. At least there is more architectural expression in this student tower than Adelaidean.

Is that a base for a crane?

There are no big anchor bolts sticking out form that slab. I thought it looked like it might be an unloading bay/delivery layout area - a smooth surface spanning where the kerb is.

I doubt it. Typically the bases are connected by sunk anchors using pile. As mentioned above, a delivery zone could be the explanation.

I’m really going to miss that hole. :( It’s a lot nicer than the development about to come.

I'm not having a go at you HiTouch, you are entitled to your opinion, but I don't understand the whinging from many of you. What do you expect from a student accommodation building? This development is by far the best proportioned and looking of them all...so far. Just look at those near by, the commie blocks!

Cheers
