Nice pics Pikey. I saw that crane this morning from Morphett st bridge on my way to work and it looks mean against that cloudy background. I saw five cranes on my way into work! :D

The north wall of Westpac is still white. It looks... odd.

Use your imagination a bit. It's dangerous to see such things as simply black and white.

...

Sorry.

This may have been identified before but for what its worth I saw this wandering along Waymouth St the other day (the sign reads 'another quality project by Pascot Property Developers) - possibly an upcoming midrise/highrise development?? - could well relate to the future project flagged on the Pascot website:

Not great. Not bad. It'll do.

I guess we couldn't expect more at the prices they're looking at selling, but you would have hoped they'd make more of a North Tce fronting block.

I agree. Not earth shattering. Could be more imaginative. But beats the crap out of that ugly car park...

Query about the entire project - is there another building after this one? I ask because the article Howie linked says the whole project has 100 apartments. Hansen Yuncken's site says Alpha had 44 apartments, and this new one doesn't look like it can hold 56...

hopefully we should have the floorplan so we can confirm this. i agree with you guys on all points above, bland looking yet much better than the carpark.

I reckon it could mate. They're both 4 levels of apartments (Alpha's being above a carpark) and Palais is targeted at students, so they've probably crammed more in.

Sure it is better than the car-park, but for me 'good' is not good enough for North Terrace. North Terrace deserves world class architecture!
