It's here at the end of Gilles Arcade (see the building marked with the red asterisk)

I presume the twin towers will roughly be where i've placed the pink asterisks.

Omicron wrote:Gasp! That sounds very promising - twin 22-storey towers! The fact that they are primarily residential means no more slabs of underwhelming green glass, either. What would be a reasonable estimate of height? I too can't wait to see some renders for this.

I had no idea how old the Queen's Theatre was, either - constructed in late 1840 and opened in 1841.
Omicron, go to the first posts of this thread I started and you'll see I gave a rough height of the two towers. As for the glass, balustrades are usually not green, but the client/architect can choose whatever suits them, so we can only speculate for the time being.

Cheers

That's correct Wayno, on each side of the Queens Theatre.

Cheers

Beach DC P/L. I was advised the Developer has been chosen but will remain confidential (for reasons unknown to me).

I actually registered my interest in purchasing an apartment (yes, for real). My feeling is this will be a fantastic development...

[edit] much of the original sleuthing credit needs to be directed to Ho Really. I simply did some leg work to confirm things (due to my personal interest in the development)[/edit]

Thanks wayno and pistol for the location info. Most appreciated. Will go on my map in our staffroom for all to see Adelaide can no longer be considered a backwater.

Wow, exciting times ahead. Apparently I didn't even have this mentioned on my database, so I have updated it so and will upload it later.

As for height, I took a look at the first page, and everything appears consistent with the latest news, so I think it would be wise to change the thread title to what has been confirmed at 69.3m.

It has been said it will be announced in the second half of the year. We've still got plenty of time before years end... If you have any queries contact the architectural firm mentioned above.

Cheers
