I think a great new spot for the skate park would be opposite the NRAH in the parklands between West Terrace, Port Road and the service road that continues from Hindley Street.

There is more than enough space to even increase the size from the former one, it's still close to trams and bus routes, not too far from the train station either and close enough to the uni buildings.

Yes it may be on parklands but its a minor impact and it's public use so there shouldn't be too much opposition to it.
Looking forward to a free-flowing Adelaide!

That location is already going through an upgrade.

...my personal belief is the whole river bank area between the wier and Adelaide Zoo should have been turned into a entertainment and stadia precinct...
I've heard a few people talk about this. I get the idea that people don't appreciated how much area that is. You're talking about a 2km stretch. Entertainment areas need to be a bit more compact and multi-use, otherwise it becomes a huge wasteland outside of events.
2.2km loosely following the torrens alignment

Ok hows this..

nRAH where the Thebarton Barracks is.
SAHMRI and new UNI buildings opposite the Thebarton Barracks where the council depot or whatever used to be(on the corner of Port Road/East Ave)
Hotel & residential towers where the UNI buildings have gone up.
New Entertainment Center & new Convention Center where the nRAH currently is and on the grassed area between the torrens and train lines.
Current Casino/old Railway station building turned into a "grand" railway station type thing, with retail outlets throughout.
Area bordered by Montefiore Road, North Tce, Railway station, levelled and turned into a multi-venue casino and entertainment complex.
Memorial drive, including Next Gen Gym thing, demolished and turned into dedicated Tennis venue with multiple courts capable of hosting international tennis events with a centrepiece stadium.
35k seat multi purpose rectangular stadium built on Uni playing fields east of Adelaide Oval.

I realise that you're slightly taking the piss, but I just want to chime in and say that we don't need a 35k seat stadium, 25k tops. We barely reach the 17k capacity at Hindmarsh.

Let's go for the middle, 30k. A central location will attract more people, and averages can be close to 13-14k in a good season even now at Hindmarsh. Adelaide United and the Socceroos also need a decent venue for the big games, Adelaide Oval does not cut it.

Not at all taking the piss really.
While I don't think the outcome we have reached is a bad one, I do think we could have had a much better outcome.
From the city link bridge at the edge of Docklands to the footbridge over the Yarra at the bottom of AAMI Park, it's nearly 8km loosely following the waterfront. They've got three stadium, a major tennis complex, casino and entertainment complex, aquarium, and two major train stations, as well as a major bus station, state theatre and other arts related buildings, a marina, two heliports, a central focal area/square in Fed. Square, DFO and harbour town, an old ship serving as a museum or whatever, convention/exhibition center, an "ice arena" type venue, giant ferris wheel, and a whole range of hotels and residential tower complexes.
I'm positive over a 2 km stretch we could have accomplished more then a hospital, a couple uni buildings, and a research centre.
This is just personal opinion though.

Surely the Libs taking the piss or SA Health trying to get something additional?

By the description in there it sounds like things were up to the spec, so if the standards aren't good enough then it's those authorities that need to cop the blame.

Ok what if standards/requirements etc were "x" when the building was planned/started then over the many years while it was being built and finished the standards/requirements etc had changed?
