I hope this does not mean ANOTHER intersection on Main north road with all the other 32 traffic lights the lenghth from city to smithfield. - i still dont understand why there was a new one put in for mawson lakes? - it would have been fine if this was an over or under pass...

Thats my 2cents

Er 32 traffic lights?, a underpass would be the biggest waste of money especially when quite alot of that traffic will be taken of the road once the Northern Expressway is complete.

That is an amazing slogan! I can now imagine it being used in TV ads to encourage stressed motorists to take the train.

Anyway, getting back on topic, I just want to say I actually think judging by the pictures Home HQ should be a very interesting, reasonably nice looking and very functional place to shop for homewares and related items, and since I'll probably be living in Mawson Lakes by the time it's complete I expect I'll be a regular visitor there, if only to have a coffee!

Until 1987 when it was closed (130 years after it opened), the old Northfield line would have gone right through the proposed site. Cavan and Pooraka stations would have been on the two northern corners also so access by public transport had the line survived would have been simply unparalleled. Cavan station still survives reasonably intact (but heavily overgrown).

This one appears to be under construction. Furthermore I was very surprised to see another tower crane for Adelaide! (apologies about quality of photo)

Will, you sure that crane is not being used for the new Bianco site? I'll be very suprised if Home HQ has a need for a crane yet.

I'm not exactly sure. I just assumed it was related to the Home HQ centre, as the crane is located very close to the water tower. But anyhow the good news is that it is another crane for Adelaide!

Will I saw that crane when I drove down that way a while ago. It is on the new Bianco HQ and has a sign on it 'hire me'. The same model that is being used for iPad.

It's still being used, correct? I can't imagine them going to the expense of erecting the crane just for advertising.

Wow, you never see a crane in the northern suburbs. That would make a good impression for people travelling along Port Wakefield Rd & Main North Road.

How high will the Bianco HQ be?

Bianco has topped out at 3 or 4 levels.
