Not long to go now until Masters Adelaide Airport (the second one in South Australia) opens to public!
Just asked on Facebook that the store will be open before Christmas but no exact date was announced yet.
Opening week may include sausage sizzle, Triple M with Roo & Ditts broadcasting live, a couple of raffles/auctions/giveaways, etc.

Is it really that special that a large hardware store has a sausage sizzle for an opening week?

They're trying to steal Bunning's thunder.

Which try as they might, they won't. The Mile End store is one of the best reputed in the whole company across Australia.

Other estimated locations include Parafield, Gawler, Seaford & Edwardstown (on Hills site).

I call bs on the a Masters being built on the old Hills site, that land is allocated for a homemaker centre as part of an upgraded Castle Plaza, this doesn't include a hardware store and if it did; it'd leave little to no land for any other development.

As for the activities for the opening day, a little underwhelming.... Call me an elitist but what person would get excited by the presence of Triple M at a store opening and a sausage sizzle?

I've lived in Melbourne for the last couple of years and I can safely say that Masters is overrated, it's range is as limited as Mitre 10 - Bunnings quite literally have everything - all Masters have done interstate is saturate the hardware industry.

I've always been puzzled as to why Woolworths hasn't really pushed the Master's brand in SA.

I'd say the same reason most other large firms/corporations or brands leave Adelaide till last to invest in.

According to several sources I've seen Masters has a McCafe inside it, or possibly a full McDonald's.

I would have expected to see some sign of it by now though so maybe this one won't.

A bit of research before posting on this website wouldn't go astray.

The first Australian Master's store was opened in South Australia in 2012.

SA often gets international brands before WA does. Take Costco for example.

You alright there keyboard worrier? I will post my opinions weather you think they are fact or not. Thats the point of this forum. I said MOST other brands. Adelaide is renowned for being the hardest Australian market to crack therefore brands tend to pilot/market Adelaide market first, if it takes of they know it will work all around Australia, or in "most" cases last. Masters opened in Mount Gambier in 2012, I was referring to Adelaide more so than a country town which is as far away from here as it is to Melbourne
