My thoughts exactly. Close to the city, brewery, factories, warehouses, trucks and tradies coming/going early morning, etc...

It's a light industrial/retail/residential mixed sort of area.

The block directly north is light industrial, the block directly west is residential, the block east is... um Port Road.

The demographics of that area will eventually change, industry will probably move, the proximity to the city and other amenities are too good not to take advantage of, and now is probably the time to start developing that area, especially with the South road project happening. Sooner or later you will probably see Port Road getting high-rise apartments overlooking the park lands, its all good.

A transitioning spot like this is great for development. Close to public transit, close to the city, sporting venues, services etc. Great to see this kind of infill proposed, looking forward to the renders!

I'm a Thebby local love the location as I walk to my job in the CBD every day, I hoped one day after 18 years living here this place would come alive, AT LAST we have some new things! 84 units? bring it on!! if the building is nice that can only make thebby wake up, where is a there a suburb so close to the CBD? I think Thebby is the new Norwood, all it needs is some more people and good buildings. Also the nw RAH is going to need some units for their staff I think. Can't wait to see the plans.

It looks good, but it contains 41 studio apartments that's almost half of the apartments, they are a good size for studios though 51-59 sqm, there's only 3 two bedroom and 1 three bedroom apartment, it's a bit of disappointment. There should be a lot more two bedroom apartments, and a lot less studios. 84 apartments over 7 stories (ground floor is retail) is an average 12 per floor. There will be 16 affordable apartments most likely all studios on the first floor.

What's going on with those cars in the garage? some sort of optical illusion?

Looks good though, Thebarton is prime for some higher densities!

Close to the city and built on the cheaper land you will find at that distance from the universities. Almost entirely studio apartments. 1 word: students.

Probably because it is hideous and they used the same car in the render 9 times.
