Honey Birdette is opening as well as at West lakes, TTP and the Myer centre. They claim to be upmarket lengerie/Adult Toys, not sure if these stores are appropriate in surburban malls?
Other than this a Sushi shop is opening and 2 x massage places. Nothing exciting.
I agree there's nothing particularly exciting about any of that, but out of sheer curiosity can I ask what you would regard as exciting if it opened at Westfield Marion?
Something unique or that is not currently available in Adelaide. Something like TopShop or something else that will bring in the people not sushi stores

Marion has had probably the longest period since 2008 of no store closures and pretty much 100% occupancy. Hopefully this could mean the expansion could commence this year.

Fingers crossed. It's well overdue.

Scentre group have recently updated their website. Marion is the only development on here that has not yet started. Makes me think it will be next.
New render aswell.

Adelaide being cheap-ed out once again. Why do all the other shopping centre proposal renders on this page look incredibly flash and then Marion's looks like a half-arsed effort? I've been to Westfield's in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and from what I've seen Adelaide's remain the most run-down of them all. Centro put more love into their centre's here than Westfield.

To Westfield's defence, the photo only shows a small portion of the $350 million planned redevelopment. It doesn't show the planned twin level mall, expanded food court and so on. But you are right it is pretty average looking compared to other developments listed on that website.
There is no doubt Marion is starting to loss its mojo and now becoming under par with other interstate major shopping complexes. Even our own complexes such as, Elizabeth and West Lakes look nicer and fresh compared to Marion. Fingers crossed though, that this redevelopment is imminent.
Random fact: Perth's largest shopping centre, Westfield Carousel is roughly the size between TTP and West Lakes. That would make Carousel the third largest complex if it was located in Adelaide.

Exactly. Dragging up old news. Not start date or announcement by Westfield.
