Also, it looked like today's Cathay Pacific flight was many hours late. Didn't take off until the afternoon.
Did you manage to get a picture of the 787?
Not my photos**

Is it possible to add a second jet-way to Gate 18? It would go on door 2L of a 777 (for EK440/441).
It could also help when an A380, A330 or 787 diverts here.
A second jetway speeds up the boarding/deboarding process as economy can use the second jetway and business/first can use the 1st one.

If Adelaide Airport do decide to add something like this, it will most likely wait the for the terminal extension thing that is planned already.
The JetExpress must be saved!

Good news in line with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Adelaide Airport is receiving accolades as a trendsetter airport in our region. It has been measuring its carbon footprint since 2007 and taking action to lower this. International Airport Review reports on the latest accreditation level achieved (and only the 7th airport in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this level).
In May 2015, Adelaide Airport became the first airport in Australia to be recognised by the global Airport Carbon Accreditation programme for optimising its management and reduction of carbon emissions.
Adelaide Airport Ltd (AAL) is now certified as Airport Carbon Accredited at Level 3 (‘Optimisation’) for its work in reducing its carbon footprint whilst also working to guide and influence stakeholders to do the same.

Good news. I'd be interested to know how Alice Springs Airport might rank on such a measure. The majority of long-term parking there is undercover -- all of which is covered with solar panels. I'm told the Airport often produces more power than it needs.

Thanks for updating us Stefan. This is inline with similar frequency increases to Melbourne and Brisbane during our summer (northern winter). Hopefully we'll get plenty of Singaporeans, SE Asians and Chinese taking up these flights. Would be great if they can keep this going into our winter (northern summer) though. Wishful thinking!

Cheers

Apparently a plane had to make a 3.15am landing? What's the story here; anybody know?

Was it the Virgin flight to Denpasar? There was a report that said one flight returned to Adelaide due to the ash cloud in Indonesia.

Tigerair will substitute Virgin Australia on flights to Denpasar (Bali) from March next year. The same will happen to services from Melbourne and Perth. The Phuket route from Perth will also be axed. Financial losses are to blame.
