I've seen several 380's on the road. Are they a reliable car?

Sorry, off topic
I don't know. Try googling used car reviews for A380.
From all accounts the A380s have been a very reliable passenger vehicle, with terrific international capabilities.
We had a 380 (not an A380 - they fly!). It was reliable and a suitable replacement for the Magnas we had before it. When it came to replace it, Mitsubishi did not have an equivalent vehicle in the range as Australian manufacturing had finished. Our local dealer passed us to a sister dealership that sold Hyundai and we have an i40 now.

The rear seat in the 380 did not fold down, which made it difficult to transport long things (like an electric piano with a full-size keyboard). I don't recall any other issues.

Definitely an interesting new route. I can't see it lasting a very long time, but then again I could be wrong.

It says it will save about 3 hrs travelling time to Uluru so maybe they will reduce flights then to Alice Springs?

Who knows one day you may be able to fly directly overseas from Adelaide by Qantas (again).

Are they cancelling flights on other routes to Uluru? I can't imagine it's a particularly busy destination.

Well that makes access to Mt Woodroffe at little bit easier, for the one day per year it can be climbed :applause:

I was on the Air New Zealand 787 yesterday and it was almost completely full. Great plane, a big step up from the old A320s.

Yes great plane especially in the air you breathe. Pity Air New Zealand like many others have it configured wrongly, as in 3-3-3 in Economy when it should really be 2-4-2, like the configuration on JAL. Beancounters at their best. We'll have to wait for SIA (SQ to some) to introduce their Airbus A350-900 regional product to get that extra 5 inch width of the cabin. Qatar already fly the A350 to Adelaide. SIA have a slight advantage though, if you want to call it that, is they'll fly the A350-900 onto Europe making an all A350 Oz-Europe flight. Of course the configuration changes slightly with the add-on of Premium Economy on those flights. Qatar don't have Premium Economy.

I know this isn't exactly airline or airport related but for anyone interested, the final flight of the Air Force's Orion aircraft is taking place this Friday. There will be four flying in formation around Adelaide, getting as low as 75~ meters apparently. Here's a map with flight paths.

There’s a big new structure being built in the Airport Business Park close to Tapleys Hill Rd and Burbridge Rd. Anyone know who the planned business/tenant is?
