Afternoon all,

Fiji Airways will use their new Boeing B737-8MAX's to Adelaide starting in December 2018.

Anyone know/suggest where the light rail stop could or would go? I have seen video renders (on you tube) showing the stop/station just before the new hotel...but seems a bit pointless unless it gets closer to the terminal?

The stop will go in the allocated easement just before the hotel, it might look out of the way but it's not that far out of the way when you consider that it's right next to the private car drop off area.

Is this what you meant? Because there isn't room for a tram anywhere else unless it is a light rail on a viaduct up to the car park adjacent to the hotel.

As someone who'll nearly always use public transport to get home (to the northern 'burbs) from the airport, I've so far been disappointed with the poor provision for public transport in the airport's masterplans.

There's that little car park at the end of it in the image, that doesn't necessarily mean its going to be there if they ever build light rail to the airport. It could run right through that spot and closer to the terminal.

No passengers got off the aircraft so how well the airport would handle passenger services from an A380 is still an unanswered question.

It's more likely that they're directing people to pay for long term parking

It should hit that mark again this year with CX, CZ, MH and now NZ all increasing over the summer peak period.
