This one in the good old US of A is taking a while.

It didn't help that a crane on one of the bridge abutments collapsed during construction.

Torn if I should have started a new thread or should necropost on this one.

Is it just me or is the Bakewell Underpass concrete walls looking BAD?
Not the bridge itself, but in the trench the southern wall in particular looks to me to have severe cracking issues.

I am no engineer or even builder so maybe this is a total non issue but from what little I know it looks like the concrete did not cure correctly and is now cracking everywhere.

Any one else seen it?

I don't usually take that route but I just had a look on Google Maps street view taken December 2015 and it looked back even then.

Yea the Google Streetview gives a good idea of what it looks like but I think it is about twice as bad as that now.

Going by The Advertiser this was built by the same company that built the bike path over South Road that fell apart after a short time.

Sorry to effectively bump an old thread.

Bakewell Underpass looking extremely tired - probably worse than 2017. Trench walls covered in web-like hairline cracks that have probably only been worsened by recent rain.

Well it was highlighted a while ago that our bridges are in severe need of maintenace. Not aware if anything has been done to address any of it.
