Port Adelaide to KI freight only service

I am hearing rumours that a Western Australian company has been trying to establish a new freight service to KI but is being frustrated by what they say are close government connections to the existing SeaLink passenger and freight service. The Western Australian company's comment is that the treatment they are getting is reminiscent of the worst days of WA Inc. Has anyone heard anything of this?

Anything legitimate to add here? Or did you just feel like ending your 5 month posting hiatus because "somebody said something about something, therefore Labor bad"?

I'm just reporting what I've heard from a disgruntled member of the WA business. I clearly labelled it as rumour and indicated that the complaint about 'government connections' was made not by me but by someone else.

I have no idea if the government, or the Opposition, for that matter, we're involved in the guy's complaint. I was only asking for information.

I think it's pretty obvious now that you are a liberal party member, at the very least someone involved with them. For anyone who had doubts.

Here's the facts.

You spent an extraordinary amount of time on here, and God knows where else, bitching about Labor and trying to create a negative perception of them.
Suddenly, in the lead up to the election announcement, you disappeared.
Now that the election has been run and won by Labor, you show up again, with more of your rumors from people who you never name.
Now you're making claims about companies, but again you wont even name them.

I'd be less inclined to believe it if this was posted before the election, but there's no need to disbelieve it now. The problems of a lack of ferry competition and the government favouring the existing operators have been mentioned before on the KI development thread.

You're wrong about my hiding in the run up to the election, rev. I've just been occupied with other things, with nothing much to say on Sensational Adelaide until I heard about this KI proposition.

I'll certainly obtain, if I can, and supply the name of the outfit behind the KI freight proposal. And once again, I'm not a member or a regular drinks attendee of the Liberals. I have a few issues with them too, but they don't happen to be in power at the moment, so their shenanigans don't have much impact on the public interest, which as a private individual is my main concern, whether it's the cost of zoo pandas or the underselling of public assets.
