A few new wayfinding signs have been installed recently. Looks good!

I notice Adelaide Metro is still implementing late night partial closures on the Outer Harbor & Grange lines for "Torrens Rail Junction Project finishing works".

This is after the four-day full-time closure on the inner sections of both Port and Gawler lines over the Easter long weekend.

Does anyone know what's actually being done during these most recent close-downs?

I use the OH/Grange trains about once a week (so I see a weekly snapshot of progress), but apart from the odd bloke pottering around at Croydon or Bowden stations during daytime, I can't really tell what it is that's being finished off and requires suspension of trains.

No doubt there's something requiring ongoing (admittedly minor) disruption & I'd be interested if anyone knows what's happening and whether it might all be complete on 4th May.

They've been doing a lot of tamping overnight around the Croydon area - I'm not sure if this is something that routinely needs doing a few weeks after new track has been laid and everything has settled?

Thanks for that. It would explain why no work is visible to a casual observer.

Btw, I’m told the pedestrian/cycle path under Park Tce and the bridge over the line within the parklands is now open.
