There were plans to build a information centre in the terminal?

Anyone know if these plans went ahead?

The information centre is there, directly to the left of the entrance on the ground level. It lies underneath the escalator.

Nothing too important, but there was a small bit of information in this weeks messenger, about a medical center thats planned to open on AAL land, apparently part of the master plan.

This really puts the size of Adelaide into perspective from Victoria Square, the heart of the city.

Sure, but one must make it a habit of keeping the horizon straight...unless of course you are trying to be arty...

From AdelaideNow
No Adelaide-Auckland flights

May 11, 2007 02:55pm

QANTAS will suspend its three times a week direct services between Adelaide and Auckland from July 23 this year.

The decision is in response to sluggish market demand, Qantas' South Australian regional general manager Terry Simpson said.

Qantas launched the Auckland-Adelaide service in December 2004 but it had not delivered the results to make it viable for the airline, Mr Simpson said.
Interesting, considering Air New Zealand will increase flights in October to 5 times per week using A320's. In the interim period they have increased capacity by using B767's.

Personally, I would never fly Qantas for international flights anyway.

^^ So much for QANTAS being our national carrier. We now have only three international flights out of Adelaide operated by Qantas weekly. I feel the same - you don't support Adelaide so why should we support our supposed national carrier!
