Cool! How much did that set you back?

Great timing with the blades. Did you know they were arriving or was it a fluke?

Any pics of Newport?

Here's the good part.. cruise on the Port Princess is $3.50 on sundays :) Bargain in my opinion. Meals are on-board for cheap too.. and it goes for 1 1/2 hours. So it's a good time to check out the bridge construction, ASC, and the tallest structures in Adelaide (the two smoke stacks of AGL).

I had no idea the blades were arriving, the captain announced it on the PA. But cool isn't it? Those things are bloody massive.

No pics of newport unfortunately, all that work is going on the other side.

$3.50? That's less than a bus ticket!

Actually it costs less than parking at the wharf carpark which was $4.00 for two hours.

I usually park on a random side street west of the markets. There's a lot of character tucked away and hidden, so it's an excuse to go exploring! Lots of old hotels and so on.

The new street lights on Victoria Road have been set up, and the new road alignment is coming into place now. at the Birkenhead Bridge (God, I hops they fix THAT thing) and the new Victoria Road/Expressway Bridge intersection area.

Birkenhead Bridge will be closed temporarily to be reconditioned once the new bridges are open, apparently.

Good to hear. That covering on the bridge is shithouse.

An electronic billboard said traffic conditions change 29/11/07
Maybe the western side roadworks will be nearly completed by then.

Also the Port side messenger said the inner harbour will be closed until 8/2/08 to speed up bridge construction, which is 4 months behind schedule.

Also the rail bridge is being commissioned and should be done by Christmas.

I will take some more general pictures of the PREXY, especially Stage 1, and then I'll update the article extensively :)
