I believe things have improved quite a bit since new schedules and rosters commenced last weekend.Hopefully things will continue to improve, especially on-time running.
Light-City buses are still taking on and training new drivers.

Why not try ringing them or asking them,or even try asking some of the bus drivers who work for Light-City buses?

The service was on time and working well throughout the start of Jan. Now school has gone back its useless.
I have been waiting ages at 15 min Go-Zones for buses to turn up.
I have seen so many people get on at North Tce stops and say "Waited over 30mins not validating my ticket".
They are randomly putting small buses on in peak hour once again. Where is the sense in this? The 548 starts at Vic Square. It stops 4 times before North Tce and its already full before turning onto North Tce.

I've been seeing buses parked around the place with nobody in them quite a bit. Shouldn't they be at the depot?

Reason is drivers park their buses at a suitable layover point to have a meal break. This is common practice with all 3 Adelaide Metro bus operators.
It is cheaper for the bus operators to do this rather than the buses having to return to their depot for a break in a lot of cases. Many bus drivers still have a meal break at their nearest depot.

Okay..... Adelaide Metro is seriously f*cked. Thanks to these useless clowns, I was extremely late for work today all because my bus was over 20 minutes late. To make it even more frustrating it turned up with two other buses behind it. Once I finally arrived in the city and got on my second express bus, the bloody thing stopped at so many god damn stops!. And to make it even more worse, some drunk bogan dropped rice all over the bus floor and then whinged someone else did it.. another 5 minutes gone. I was so flipping mad today!

I am considering of going for my drivers licence because I am sick of being frustrated by Adelaide's pathetic excuse for public transport. Weeks ago, the bus was 25 minutes late and then turned down the wrong road!, amazingly I just got on time.

Screw getting your licence. Riding in is the quickest way to get into town, plus you get free parking ;) (or at least get a folding bike, then you can ride in and then take it on your second bus, relieving you from worrying about transfers)

First couple of weeks has seen 177 buses jammed full out of the city, with 174 containing just a few people, caus naturally those on North Tce aren't gonna go running up to Grenfell St to get a 174. Its the most mindbogingly retarded decision they have made. And to get to Grenfell St why not use Pulteney St rather than Frome St so you can atleast cover the busy Adl uni stop

They must have read part of my post because as of this week, my 174 bus now travels up Pulteney St to get to Grenfell St, not Frome Street anymore :applause:

Well it's been a week since these timetable changes and I'm not sure if there has been much improvement at all. I haven't caught buses alot this week. But the times I have, the bus has been late or the bus that did run on time previously has been late, the worst was waiting 10 minutes in the freezing cold at night. Seriously who ever was the bright spark to change these contracts in the first place needs to be sacked and thrown into a pool of sharks. Buses in Adelaide have never been amazing but since late last year it's gone incredibly downhill. It's hard to believe how crap the buses have become.

The other day I had a driver drive straight past me on the western end of Currie Street even after hailing it. The bus was full but not overloaded so there was no reason what so ever for him to not pick me up. He even saw me but was either too lazy or retarded to pull over... Extremely EXTREMELY frustrating $%@#!

So it's not the timetables, it's also some of these drivers who have no idea of the road rules, couldn't care less about punctuality or just demented. Thankfully there is some good drivers out there.

My route has been marvellous - on time every single day at any stop I've happened to catch it from, in either direction. Ten points!

Now to fix the next issue - hyperactive braking (BRAKE release BRAKE release BRAKE release BRAKE release BRAKE release) and an odd habit at red lights of revving the engine to within an inch of its life and dumping the clutch, which doesn't make any sense because they're all automatics.

I HATE drivers who do this. It's been going on for years. Must be new drivers who haven't learn't how to control the vehicle yet?
