I thought I saw a silhouette of a tree on top this morning as I waltzed past. Convinced myself I was just 'seeing things'.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

I really really hope they manage to pull off a miracle with the finish, because right now it looks awful.

This building is not photogenic. However it's quite impressive in the flesh, from several angles. Photographs can't depict the 3D qualities which were obviously a design element, or completely capture the building in its setting. Have changed my judgement on this one having seen it from all angles and distances, and day and night. Looking forward now to the finished product.

I don't hate it. To me, the biggest let down is the colour of the precast panels and how they differ quite drastically. If the colouring were more consistent, I think it would look a lot better..

I agree it would look good if it didn't look so shit.SouthAussie94 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:33 amI don't hate it. To me, the biggest let down is the colour of the precast panels and how they differ quite drastically. If the colouring were more consistent, I think it would look a lot better..

I still really like the hotch-potch spongelike windows style so it's a big shame the uneven concrete colouring makes it look like a piece it together fold out shack from cheap as chips.

This is the nicest photo I've ever seen of this building (lighting makes it look golden instead of grey). The more I see it the more I think it 'works' in terms of the shape. For what I assume is a relatively cheap 'student' apartment block I think they did well with it tbh.
