Oh, wow - didn't realize it had progressed so quickly. For some reason it looks smaller than I expected?
I don't want to be that guy..but maybe because it's not finished yet? ;)
Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

I meant the actual footprint of the building on the ground. Not the height.

EK441 took off way past curfew. Left gate at 00:14 and takeoff at 00:24. Anyone know why?

Wasn't that already the case anyway that three flights each week would be serviced by the Dreamliner all year round?

In progress: construction of the new Atura Hotel at #Adelaide Airport is well underway! The hotel is anticipated to launch late next year.

No, the original announcement was Dreamliner only during this summer until 25 March 2018.

According to Singapore Airlines timetable released on 1 November. Effective 5 January 2018, SIA will re-instate flight SQ276 three times a week: Monday, Friday and Sunday. Departure 19:20 Adelaide; Arrival Singapore 00:05+1 (5 minutes past midnight next day). Return flights on SQ277 on Monday, Friday and Sunday with Departure Singapore 08:30; Arrival Adelaide 18:00. Aircraft Airbus A330-300.
I've been a bit slack and only just checked their new timetable released on 1 December and it shows SQ276 from 5 January until 22 January 2018. I'm hoping these flights will be well patronised and encourage SIA to extend the service further into 2018.

Cheers

I've tried the Gulf airlines, even Etihad out of Melbourne. Don't like the experience, or the stop overs.
Can't say I'll be traveling overseas in January, but I'll be going back to flying with Singapore where possible. Always enjoyed flying with them and the stop overs in Singapore.

I'm going to Zurich next year with Cathay Pacific. I'm looking forward not only to 7 weeks in Europe, but checking out the amazing Chek Lap Kok Airport and the Cathay service.

Who knows, I might get upgraded to business class, which is an air travel dream of mine

From the Adelaide Airport facebook page

Attention plane spotters! One of the world's largest freighters, the Antonov 124-100, will be visiting Adelaide tomorrow (December 12) - flying in at 6:30am (edited: previously 7am). The Antonov has been a rare visitor to Adelaide but we have been lucky enough to have it visit a couple of times in recent months.

Expected departure time tomorrow night 12th Dec - pushback at 2200hrs and departure at 2230hrs.

Please note that last minute changes to schedules for freighter services such as this are common, and that this flight could arrive before or after the advised time above. We recommend monitoring a flight radar website or app, eg Flight Radar 24, for up-to-date flight movements.
