Correct me if I’m wrong but Hasn’t the people building the Adelaidean petitioned for the church to be heritage listed?
They really should have bought the property to secure thei space of their tower views which seems to be a major part of what they market on.

Yes but they failed in their attempt to have the church heritage listed. What is laughable is the developer of the Adelaidean demolished a 1880s building (Urban Cow) for his development but then tried to get the adjacent 1950s church heritage listed to protect his investment/views etc!
I think the developer did try to buy the church before he started his development but it wasn’t for sale at the time. A few years later (recently) it sold but the plans were too far progressed/pre-sales already made and it was too late to incorporate it.

I honestly hope this falls through. I don’t think it will be 115m, knowing how they develop Student accomodation (e.g. urbanest), they squish the levels into 70m.

I’m going to make a brave call and say that it’s going to look about as glamorous and thrilling as GHS’s face on his birthday sitting in front of a cake with Jay Weatherill and Bill Shorten by his side, both giving him “kissies for good luck” on each cheek and I haven’t even seen the render.

Anything built on a well-exposed site should have an appealing design. No concrete boxes with small windows. It should be mandatory. At least those next door will have something nice to look at if they lose their million-dollar view. Yes, the last thing you'd want is a commie block blocking your view! Yikes!

Not bad. I wish some of these 'tall' proposals would have interesting shaped roof lines though. At the moment we are in for a monotonous boxy skyline.

The developers of The Adelaidian will be spewing!
What are the chances of this actually going ahead? Usually student accom goes up without any issue?
I love the design. Just goes to show you that a good outcome can happen for even developments sush as this.

Wow!! Nice one. So what's the likelihood of a building like this being approved on North Terrace? It would make an impressive cluster of 100 metre plus proposals in that section of the city.

Not too shabby for a student accom building, abit plain but not everything has to be a masterpiece.

Hopefully this is how it turns out!

Really digging that ground level. Has demand for student accomodation increased so much? There's an awful lot recently built or under construction, and each one is bigger than the last.
