“We always knew this would be a technically difficult project to deliver,” he said.
That's not the line they took prior to the election.

I notice that there are two trams sitting at the Botanic Gardens terminus with pantagraphs down. They don't seem to be doing anything.

Anybody know what this is about?

The tram line between South Terrace and Glenelg was closed today, so I assume they were being stored there as backup for the run between South Terrace and the Entertainment Centre.

The points at the south end of the Glengowrie depot triangle are being replaced and reconcreted. Also some maintenance and concrete repair is being done on the bridge over the Sturt at Glengowrie.

After all this time, what a strangely sudden announcement, sent at 8:11pm. But still, finally.

On a side note, anybody know why they're ripping up and redoing all the gutters outside Ayers House? Obviously they were done for the tram extension, now being done again, and will no doubt be done a third time when the council do their footpath upgrades.

What an utterly redicilous way to launch this long awaited project. No decency and respect to the community. Was there even an official launch or did they just hit the start button?

However, it's good to finally see it in operation.
