Re: Index of Adelaide Projects (As of 25 August 2007)
Excellent work AID.
Now I can go back to developing a new building and construction map (vision, proposed, approved and U/C for buildings 10 floors and over) for Adelaide CBD. This will range from from Oct. 2006 till now.
I had one such map as a hard copy on a filing cabinet in my staffroom here in Brisbane but it disappeared. Will try to get the new one up in the CBD thread when done. The only difficulty is the specific location of some of the buildings.
Can I suggest that the exact location is presented with each find as it comes up. More likely to get an accurate map as a result. I ask this also because many of the members not from Adelaide would have a hard time working out where things are. As I teach urban Geography and Adelaide is a major focus for me I am interested to see trends, plot ratio/costs, functional movements, infrastructure pressures etc etc. going on.
Posts like thus make the proposed job so much easier.

Question for you knowledgable punters. I remember reading about an appartment complex proposed for the Holy Trinity Church carpark site on Morphett ST yet cant find any info in the SA forums.
Can someone please refresh my memory as to whether I dreamt this or there was actually a proposal for this site. If so what has happened re that proposal?
Thak you all
JB

We all did, and you are not dreaming. I wouldn't mind knowing what has happen to this as well and if anyone knows who the developer and architects are (were).Jamo wrote:Question for you knowledgable punters. Sometimes projects get cancelled. I can think of a few projects that just died. I assume that this one falls into that category.Ho Really wrote:We all did, and you are not dreaming. So it just withered away into thin air without any news, mmmh. I think, maybe they are re-thinking things on this one. Can't see it not having potential in that area of the city with all that's going for it. This may be like that development I announced regarding Kings Apartments in Waymouth Street. They may be waiting for the right time. Who knows? Will wrote:Sometimes projects get cancelled. I can think of a few projects that just died. I assume that this one falls into that category.
Wasn't there an image of this development somewhere? Was it on S-A?
Cheers

Yes, think of Globe Apartments, Centro Apartments, Maximo Apartments, The Pinnacle and the Union Hotel Tower. These too also dissapeared into thin air. It isn't something isolated.
