Re: Another day, Another shooting in the city
CIB and crime scene officers said the casings were old and were not thought to have been associated with reported shots.
Re: Another day, Another shooting in the city
what do you expect with a large portion of Adelaide's youth population are congrgated in the cbd, many of whom are under the influence of alcohol.

what are you buddy a tee totaller? of course these young people you speak of are "under the influence of alcohol " - they are not in the cbd for business meetings or to catch up on the latest museum exhibits ... and what's the solution? Time for a curfew perhaps?bmw boy wrote:what do you expect with a large portion of Adelaide's youth population are congrgated in the cbd, many of whom are under the influence of alcohol.

I dont see the point in what you just posted toby1toby1 wrote:what are you buddy a tee totaller? of course these young people you speak of are "under the influence of alcohol " - they are not in the cbd for business meetings or to catch up on the latest museum exhibits ... and what's the solution? "of course these young people you speak of are "under the influence of alcohol " " .... yes I did say that... your point being? Alcohol does affect judgement and fuels ego's
"they are not in the cbd for business meetings or to catch up on the latest museum exhibits ... and what's the solution? Time for a curfew perhaps?" ... Did I say or imply they were there for the 'latest museum exhibits' ... and no I never said there was or should be a solution... and never implied a curfew should be inplace.
:wank:
I was simply stating, that when you get a large portion of the youth population in the city, at clubs, pubs drinking etc there is obviously going to be altercations and you cant compare it to suburbs or geographics in terms of crime as the majority of these people do not live in the city.

no they are there for sex.bmw boy wrote:

arguement over
Re: Another day, Another shooting in the city
Ahaha the shell casings were a year old were they? They must have had on-site forensics to get that info out a few hours after the incident.
Oh and, what people thought were gun shots, was apparently, a car back firing. :wank:

I like Sky News how they cut an interview short with the state opposition leader.
It went something like this.
"Drive by shootings, gang wars, bashings, gang of 40 in the northern suburbs, this is Adelaide"
Paints a nice picture

He really is a dickward, crime in Adelaide has not just all of a sudden skyrocketed in the last few years thanks to Mike Rann. Adelaide has always had a bad crime rate, though its improved hell of allot in the last few years.
Though Adelaide is a major city and crime happens everywhere. Plus hasn't the gang of 49 been around for ages, but have only lately been targeted by the media?

I remember hearing something about Team Rann changing the way crime statistics are reported in an effort to fudge the numbers to show a decrease in crime when they first came to government.

What rubbish. Adelaide bad crime rate? Compared to who? It has never been bad, but it hasn't got better under Rann either.crawf wrote:...crime in Adelaide has not just all of a sudden skyrocketed in the last few years thanks to Mike Rann. Yes Adelaide, unless its changed Adelaide has one of the worst crime rates per captia in Australia, Perth is right up there aswell and Melbourne is the safest. However Darwin could of taken over Adelaide and Perth
