The Courts continue to raise the alarm about detoriating facilities, particularly around space and accessibility. The government should be upfront about whether this land is still available for courts expansion and, if so, what they plan to do with the staging post when that time comes.

Police horses are a waste of resources to being with. It would be better to do away with the mounted unit and buy more police cars.

They serve very different purposes.

How often does breaking up riots with horses take place in Adelaide? The cost of keeping horses for those few events is enormous and that money could be better spent on hiring more human cops.

Horses just randomly trample on and injure the crowd. If they really want something to break up riots, a real life mech suit is so much better. I'm not even joking.

Disregarding the larger question of whether police should be wandering around with that sort of power, whether it be horses or mechs, the purpose of police horses isn't primarily to break up riots. It gives them greater visibility, as well as people having better visibility of them, in ways that a car doesn't.

they are usually employed in Hindley Street during nightclub opening hours...which is normally a carpark due to cruisers... so the horses can at least move down the footpath
