It shall never cease to amuse me that our Renaissance Centre shares its name with Detroit's RenCen.

I absoluetly despise the place, it's oversized, overbuilt, over-everything ego reeks of American corporatism at its worst. Although, the actual 'main tower' itself is cool.

That's the one. I don't mind it in isolation (interestingly enough, for exactly all those over- reasons you listed :wink: ), but when viewed in Detroit's skyline it looks hilariously out of place.

I noticed someone taking photos of these lifts today, and filming if i'm not mistaken,


Anyone from SA involved or was it completely unrelated?

I hate Today Tonight, I really do. But it'd be pretty funny for them to do something on the lifts!
