Nice work Howie.
Must say while this one looks nice from the west, it certainly doesn't appeal to me from the northern aspect. Uneven and blocky, would look much better with the western frontage being pulled around to the north with lots of glass.

Agree with that mate.
The best views will be from the North and they'll probably never be built out, so I'm pretty surprised that they didn't make more of that facade.
Just on the article, since when has the centre of activity in the city been the Torrens? If it is, they did a great job of fucking up their planning by having all buildings bar 2 turn their back on it.
I actually think the Torrens should be an entertainment focal point. With development unlikely on the north bank it'll never become a mecca for commercial/resi/hotel towers, but if someone had the balls to get the Riverbank cafe/restaurant ball rolling, it'd be a decent entertainment spot.

Nice dirt.
That building in the background.... the ones with the balconies... what a shocker. I don't know if this has been fixed, but 10 years ago those balconies slanted heavily. Like, keep your balance or you'll roll off. Scared the crap out of me.

I thought this site was contaminated and required a heap of soil clean up work first which would take a fair while. I suppose it has been a while now though. If they are starting on the core pit and pilings that is a good effort considering the contamination that was on the site.

Construction on the actual structure will begin in September.UrbanSG wrote:I thought this site was contaminated and required a heap of soil clean up work first which would take a fair while. The activity on the site at the moment, still involves the removal of contaminated soil

Thanks for posting that up today mate. I went past there myself, and that's a mighty fine hole, albeit shallow.

Wow, looking good!!! This one will go up quite quickly me thinks. Will look awsome where it is as well I reckon. Just outta curiosity though, isnt the building gonna be 56m, not 46m, as is on the thread topic title. That really gives me the shits every time i look at it. Dont wanna sound rude, but could someone change that please...
