Thanks for the pictures Crawf. Although the look of Platinum is nice, it just gives the impression that the building is overweight. It just looks like it should be taller.

On another note, the ferris wheel for the Adelaide 'Disneyland' will arrive later this week and should be installed soon after.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but I read in the Messenger that the 'Beach-house' will be opening on July 1.

Although we are all probably a bit too old for it, I wish I was 12 again because it looks like fun! :D

Very much complete. There's signs on the ground floor to the effect of "One apartment left!" From the reserve:

Ayone know if any nightclubs are gonna open within platinum like at the grand and the pier? I remember hearing something about it, but if anyone has any info on this would be much appreciated...

I doubt it. Walking around the base if it, there's no shops of any kind. Most of the 'street' level faces are blank walls, except the eastern face which is the main entrance to the lobby. You can see into the lap pool from the ground, too.

Platinum is a 100% residential building, so the answer to your question is no. The residents would not approve of a nightclub in their 'home'.

On the issue of Platinum, it looks nice, but like many Adelaide buildings it looks 'fat'.

Is it just me or do these apartments seem a little 80s? The theme music playing in that Adelaide Now vid just added to the late 80s/early 90s effect.

That music is TERRIBLE!! You don't get much for the price they are asking eh? Think I will stick to apartments in the city. Did anyone get a chance to read up on the apartment glut at Glenelg in the Sunday Mail? Seems to me that in about 12 months is the perfect time to buy an investment apartment down there - I mean you will never lose out... it's Glenelg!
