I was wondering how AO seating allocations would work for AFL games (who sits where) and here's the plan ==> Crows & Port members will be located in the Eastern & Southern stands. A new Northern (standing room on the hill) membership package will also be offered. SACA members (who take up an AFL package) will be in the western stand, and so will SANFL members (for sanfl games).

More details (from http://www.adelaideovalredevelopment.com.au/membership):

    * Adelaide Football Club season ticket holding members will be predominantly located in the Southern and Eastern stands where memberships will be priced on a tiered basis determined by seating location. The open Northern end will also provide the opportunity to offer a general admission/standing room season membership for the first time which will complement the existing suite of reserved seated memberships.

    * While the Port Adelaide Football Club is yet to finalise seating configurations for the redeveloped Oval, its members will have seating options in the new Southern and Eastern Stands and at the Northern End (presumably operating similar to Crows).

    * SANFL members will have access to the Western Stand for SANFL games. This is similar to the current situation at AAMI Stadium.

    * SACA members will retain access all domestic and international cricket and SANFL matches played at the Oval as they are now. In addition, existing SACA members can take up a new membership entitling them to access all cricket, SANFL and AFL matches played at Adelaide Oval (presumably seated in the Western stand).
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

walked past today to see all the boarding up and around the oval and a bit of soil testing (I assume from the location of the holes) underway.

Look forward to watching this go up.

btw - where do most people host there pictures ? I wouldn't mind putting some up but I can never seem to attach.

Not only are they fencing it off, in the north east corner of the parklands in the vicinity behind the scoreboard they have setup their site offices for the project.
There is also an excavator(or was, don't know if it's still there) in the car park behind the bradman stand.
There was also work on the northern side entry, and out near the road on the western side there is a large area fenced off with the grass ripped up and work going on within.

Things are moving pretty fast it seems.

The "stairs" support the cables up the tower - not a good look, but they may be covered later.

Demolition is officially underway. The southern entrance gates are gone!
That big excavator that was used on the Harris Scarfe site with the long arm and claw that tore through the concrete, has also arrived.

saw the bunting around the oval fences today and looks like they are going to grow vines on the outside of the other stands stairwells as well , was hoping for the giant mural of footballers and cricketers on outside as early renders showed :( ed
