Heritage consultants are a funny bunch, I'm working with some at the moment and they're going all out trying to get a small area of outdoors 'crazy paving' built in the 50's heritage listed :wank:
annoying

It was mentioned in an article in The Adelaide Review this week that the guttering of this building is almost complete and a tower crane will be going up on-site within a few weeks according to the developers. I am guessing due to the building's size and its proximity to a flight path that the tower crane won't be huge

Correct. No Favell Favco will be installed. A hammerhead will be used instead.

Crane is up, and it's not a traditional hammerhead either. Its a Liebher (spelling) same style of crane that Australia Central credit union had.

Well, had a good look around the site, and the black one up at the moment isn't the final crane. There is a green base on the northern side of the tower. NFI when it's going to be erected though

Look to the North and you'll see the tower of the new crane is up. Quite a bit higher than the existing roof line.
Should be all done by tomorrow.

I am sumprised that some North Adelaide residents aren't complaining that the crane-tower is overshadowing their rose-gardens

Not much change in this one. Once finished I reckon it could look fairly good. From today.
